This is the second year for a cooperative 2008 Jack London Youth Soccer Sports League (JLYSSL) TRYOUTS schedule for the league’s Class I and Class III programs.
Our goal is to make it easier for players and parents to find out directly from the JLYSL website about the JLYSSL Class I or Class III tryouts schedule in addition to the individual JLYSSL clubs.
Questions & Answers about the JLYSSL Class I and Class III Tryout program
What are the benefits for JLYSSL players and their parents?
-
Players and parents can find all JLYSSL Tryout Schedules for Class I and Class III from a single website, the JLYSSL website at
jlysl.org
rather than going to each of the seven JLYSSL clubs (Alameda, BayOaks, Montclair, GrassValley, Rockridge, Piedmont and Oakland.)
-
A coordinated tryout schedule also reduces conflicts with Class I and Class III tryouts dates for as much as is possible. We’ve try our best to minimize any conflicts.
What does the JLYSSL league provide its clubs in term of Tryout Support?
The JLYSSL league provides the following:
-
Two league-wide mailings of tryout Schedules for Class I and Class III (**first in mid-January and the second in the end of January)
-
Access via the JLYSL.org website to TRYOUT schedules of each JLYSSL Club's program.
-
Turf Field Soccer venues as backup sites for Class I and Class III tryouts.
-
A series of meetings for JLYSSL Class I & Class III programs to work together to create a coordinated tryout schedule for all clubs.
Why are not all Clubs' tryout schedules available?
Some clubs did not have their tryout schedules ready, however once they become available the JLYSSL website will display the link to the club's tryout schedule.
